NICK'S TOP DOG PARKS IN MELBOURNE

NICK'S TOP DOG PARKS IN MELBOURNE

  1. Mentone dog beach - You can't beat the beach for dog walks and human walks. There's so much space for the dogs to tear it up, and they go nuts for the water. Best to go around sunset for the view.

  2. Gilpin Park, Brunswick - This one's great because there are separate enclosed spaces for big dogs and smaller dogs. The people at this park are what make it so good though - everyone is super friendly. It was a regular of ours until we moved across the city, still one of our favourites.

  3. Farm Road reserve, Cheltenham - A very long, straight park with trees running up the middle. It's a pretty place, and people tend to walk up and back a few times while the dogs bolt down the middle.

  4. Victoria Park, Abbotsford - A footy oval as well as a dog park, the beauty of this one its its proximity to bottle shops, pizza joints and breweries nearby. It's fenced in and people tend to sit on the grass and relax as the dogs go from picnic to picnic looking for food.

  5. Royal Park, Parkville - This is a massive oval bordered by cricket pitches and tennis courts and people running laps around the outside. But the best part of it is the long grass in the middle. Motley goes crazy for it - he spends hours getting lost in the long grass.
